Hyundae Hospital’s Department of General Surgery began providing services in 2002 and is staffed by board-certified specialists in each surgical subspecialty, including colorectal surgery, breast surgery, and trauma surgery, offering highly specialized treatment in these areas.Our surgical team consists of experts who have completed training and academic activities at Korea’s leading institutions, such as Seoul National University Hospital, Chung-Ang University Hospital, and the National Cancer Center (Ilsan). We currently perform over 100 major surgeries each month.In particular, we are committed to advancing and researching cutting-edge surgical techniques through our Laparoscopic Surgery Center.We continuously strive to grow into a surgical department that is recognized not only nationally but also internationally, and we dedicate ourselves to earning the trust and satisfaction of every patient.

They provide subspecialty-based care, ensuring safe and reliable treatment.Through interdisciplinary collaboration among surgical subspecialties, we are able to offer comprehensive and integrated care.We are committed to performing all laparoscopic procedures currently known to be feasible, continuously expanding our capabilities in minimally invasive surgery.Whenever possible, we choose minimally invasive techniques to promote faster recovery and minimize post-operative pain for our patients.Our surgical unit is equipped with state-of-the-art laparoscopic equipment and specialized tools, along with modern, sterile operating rooms and the latest medical technologies.Vacuum-assisted breast excision (Mammotome) procedures are available, allowing for complete removal of breast tumors using a special needle without traditional surgery.For minor surgeries, same-day procedures and discharge are available, and the department is fully equipped to perform emergency surgeries 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.We are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging technologies required for surgical evaluation, including 64-channel CT, MRI, MRCP, high-resolution ultrasound, and digital anoscopy, all in-house-enabling fast and accurate diagnosis.Precise tissue biopsies of tumors or lesions can be performed under ultrasound guidance.As in Korea’s top-tier hospitals, we offer collaborative care with expert anesthesiologists, cardiologists, pulmonologists, and endocrinologists.This ensures safe surgery even for elderly or high-risk patients with chronic conditions.
