Emergency Department

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Hyundae Hospital is dedicated to saving lives and restoring patients’ conditions to normal or as close to normal as possible in the shortest time possible through expert and prompt evaluation and treatment of acute illnesses or injuries. This specialized field requires broad medical knowledge and advanced emergency treatment skills to ensure continuity and effectiveness of care. Our Emergency Center is the first in the Gyeonggi region to be staffed with six board-certified emergency medicine specialists, striving to serve as a central hub for emergency care in northern Gyeonggi. The center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including intensive care beds with advanced monitoring systems for critically ill patients, dedicated treatment rooms for trauma cases, observation beds, and a pediatric observation unit. We also feature the latest emergency medical equipment such as ventilators, defibrillators, blood warmers, and ultrasound machines. In addition, our center includes essential support facilities such as an emergency operating room, emergency radiography room, CT suite, and an emergency clinical laboratory to ensure comprehensive, immediate care.

These services ensure that all patients receive timely and expert emergency care at Hyundae Hospital.
Our Strengths
Hyundae Hospital is the first in the Gyeonggi region to have the largest team of six board-certified emergency medicine specialists providing direct emergency care 24 hours a day. Because emergency physicians are directly involved in patient treatment, medical decisions can be made swiftly and accurately. Our close and coordinated collaboration with other clinical departments allows for quick decisions regarding the patient’s next steps?whether hospitalization, surgery, or discharge?after emergency care. With strong support from diagnostic and laboratory departments, test results can be obtained promptly and accurately. During peak hours, two emergency physicians are on duty to minimize patient wait times and ensure high-quality emergency medical services.
