The Department of Radiology is responsible for diagnosis, tissue biopsy, and certain treatments using imaging technologies such as X-rays, ultrasound, and magnetic fields. Utilizing these radiological devices, the department supports disease diagnosis, determination of treatment plans, evaluation of treatment progress, and overall patient care. In addition, tissue biopsies are performed using imaging guidance.The department also plays a direct role in patient treatment. In cases involving obstructions in the gastrointestinal tract, biliary system, or urinary tract, we use interventional procedures to dilate narrowed areas or provide drainage. Without surgical intervention, we can control internal bleeding and perform chemoembolization to treat cancerous lesions, thus actively contributing to therapeutic care.

Through the use of ultrasound, angiographic equipment, and Mammotome devices, our specialized interventional radiology team performs procedures and treatments equivalent to those offered at university hospitals. These include the management of vascular conditions and drainage procedures, all conducted quickly and effectively without the risks associated with surgery or general anesthesia.
